School Administration and Supervision Advisor
CaseNEX is seeking a School Administration and Supervision advisor to help us with coursework designed for teachers seeking endorsement, graduate credit and/or professional development in School Administration and Supervision. Our coursework is of the highest quality, and our expectation is that our students exceed the competencies identified as those needed by school administrators. Qualified candidates should have at least two years of classroom teaching experience, at least two years of administrative experience, hold a valid administration endorsement, and at least a Master's degree.
Job Description:
Provide leadership, consultation and technical assistance
in the design, development, or revision of six (6) online gifted education
graduate-level courses. This position is contractual work. The amount
of time estimated for the work is approximately 20-30 hours per course, to
be completed between November 15, 2007 – January 31, 2008.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The ideal candidate
will have experience in the public school sector, have experience
training teachers, and possess a research-based understanding of current
issues and "what works" in school administration
and supervision. Excellent oral and written communication skills and the
ability to work independently according to a timeline are also required.
Requirements
- Modify existing course syllabi, cases, and other program materials for school administration and supervision program; work with CaseNEX personnel to distinguish among the syllabi so that each serves a defined, different, and sequential purpose. Specifically:
- Update course descriptions and course competencies to reflect current issues and trends in school administration
- Revise existing syllabi to increase course participant accountability and rigor, and reinforce concepts and applications. This will include developing assignments, journal prompts, and discussion prompts.
- Research and recommend updated readings and topics to reflect various voices and current research and issues.
- Ensure session topics are logically arranged and tailored to meet competencies.
