Partnerships
Founded at the University of Virginia's Curry School of Education,
CaseNEX supports educators through an online,
case-based approach. Multimedia cases,
or "slices of life," form a realistic connection between professional
learning and the complex school environment.
The CaseNEX problem-solving
model is engaging, collaborative, and effective. Our school district
and university partners across the country integrate the CaseNEX learning
model and access our library of case studies to enhance, enliven, and
extend their existing programs. Teachers join our collaborative online
learning cohorts to satisfy professional development requirements, earn
graduate credits, and complete Master's Degree programs.
Recognizing that effective leadership is as vital to success in education as it is in business, the University of Virginia's Darden School of Business (Darden) and the Curry School of Education (Curry) established a formal partnership - the Partnership for Leaders in Education (PLE) - to bring the most advanced thinking in business and education to meet the unique demands of managing and governing schools and school systems. Since 2003, the PLE has been committed to providing school district administrators, school administrators and board members with programs that are comparable to executive leadership programs offered to senior-level, business executives. In doing so, we have demonstrated that by engaging leadership at all levels and aligning efforts around student achievement, change and increases in student achievement can be accelerated.
