How do I figure out my type of connection? Am I using a dial-up or broadband connection?
If you are using a computer at a school or other organization, ask your system administrator.
If you are working from your own computer at home and connect to the internet through a telephone
line, you are using a dial-up connection and should select dial-up versions of the videos. Please
note that some of our video is not currently offered with a dial-up option. We are working to
complete this as soon as possible.
Which player (QuickTime or RealPlayer) is better suited for dial-up connections?
RealPlayer will show your video faster since the video streams to your computer while it plays.
QuickTime waits until the entire video has downloaded to your computer before it begins playing,
so this options takes a minute or two longer.
Which player (QuickTime or RealPlayer) is better suited for broadband connections?
Both QuickTime and RealPlayer work well with broadband connections.
Why are the dial-up videos so small?
In order for the video to download quickly and stream clearly we have created smaller
versions of the videos especially for those using dial-up connections.
Can I resize the video?
Depending upon how your video opens and only in RealPlayer. (NOTE TO USER: In all cases, we do
not recommend resizing the video image since this will distort the video.)
If the video opens directly in the RealPlayer interface, simply click and drag either corner as shown by the red arrows in the image below:

If the video opens in a popup window as shown below, click on the RealPlayer icon on the far right of the control bar to select either
"Play in RealPlayer" or "Play in Theater Mode":

OR mouseover the video until you see two icons in the top left corner and click on either icon depending on your needs:

NOTE TO USER: In all cases, we do not recommend resizing the video image since this will distort the video.
Why does the video distort, get blurry, or become pixilated when I enlarge it?
We have prepared our videos to balance providing the quickest download time and crispest
image possible. If you enlarge the video, you will compromise the image clarity.
When I click a video link absolutely nothing seems to happen.
For your convenience CaseNEX case videos are loaded in a seperate window from the case page.
