Administrator I Strand

 

All six courses needed for an Administrator I endorsement will be offered this year through CaseNEX.   The following courses are required to receive an Administrator I endorsement:

  • School Law
  • School Administration
  • Group Dynamics
  • Curriculum Supervision
  • Clinical Supervision
  • Practicum (please see details below)

 

To qualify for Administrator I Endorsement, all courses must be taken for graduate credit.  .

Note: In order to qualify for the Administrator I Endorsement, you must hold a masters degree and have three years of satisfactory teaching experience.

 

 

This 80-hour practicum experience will be collaboratively designed and supervised by your supervisor and CaseNEX.  Students will fulfill typical administrative duties assigned at the building level under the supervision of an experienced Baltimore County administrator.  Through on-line collaboration with colleagues, students will have the opportunity to discuss and reflect on their weekly experiences, as well as receive feedback from their University supervisor. 

 

Course specifics are as follows:

  • Coursework can be completed over two sessions.
  • Participants will only pay one time for the three graduate credits ($550)
  • Participants are responsible for securing a site supervisor. In school-based situations the principal will be the supervisor. In other instances, an immediate supervisor will suffice.
  • Students are required to have taken all 5 of the prerequisite courses at the time of practicum enrollment.
  • Students are required to have taken at least one course with CaseNEX prior to the practicum.
  • Interested students must contact CaseNEX at least one month before a course start date to begin the approval process.
