CaseNEX presents Young Scholars:
A Model for Finding Gifted Learners in Underserved Populations
This K-8 initiative is designed to increase the proportion of historically underrepresented students in gifted programs. Through Young Scholars, school administrators, teachers, and GT resource teachers work together to find and nurture gifted potential in young learners. Flexible grouping, differentiated summer instruction, and after school programs provide students with educational settings that raise their personal expectations and prepare them for more challenging and rigorous courses.
This program is now available to meet the needs of underserved populations in your school or district. All materials are delivered in a cost-saving online format that you can adapt for your district.
CaseNEX is pleased to collaborate with Dr. Carol V. Horn, Fairfax County Public Schools, to support the Young Scholars program. For more information about the Young Scholars program, write to info@casenex.com.

Strategies and Practices for Nurturing Gifted Learners
Over three million academically gifted children in grades K-12 attend schools in the United States (National Association for Gifted Children estimate). Many more high-ability students exhibit intellectual, creative, artistic and leadership skills. To develop these students' capabilities, teachers and administrators need a solid understanding of assessment, identification, and differentiated instruction.
