CaseNEX by IO Presents Young Scholars Course and Resources: Fully Online!

The K-8 Young Scholars model is designed to increase the proportion of historically underrepresented students in gifted programs. Through a school-based model, school administrators, teachers, and GT resource teachers work together to find and nurture gifted potential in young learners. Flexible grouping and differentiated instruction provide students with educational settings that raise their personal expectations and prepare them for more challenging and rigorous courses.

CaseNEX is pleased to collaborate with Dr. Carol V. Horn, Coordinator of Advanced Academic Programs in Fairfax County Public Schools (FCPS), and the developer of the Young Scholars initiative. FCPS has been successfully implementing the Young Scholars model for over 15 years, with documented and demonstrable results. CaseNEX offers an extensive multimedia resource center and online graduate level courses that enable schools to adapt the model to meet the needs of traditionally underrepresented populations in their own district. All YS materials are delivered in a cost-saving online format that you can adapt for your district.

The Young Scholar course can be taken for PD credit by a cohort of 10 or more participants that are sponsored by a district or school. Discounts apply/are available.
